THE VOS stands for The Value Of {Your's} Style. It is both the name of 株式会社ザボスECO研究所 (THEVOS ECO Laboratory) and our company philosophy.

We started with the belief that "your style has value." Every business owner has their own unique style, and that style deserves to be expressed digitally. Technology should not replace individuality — it should be a tool that makes your style shine.

VosCMS is a CMS framework built on this very philosophy, bearing this very name.

THEVOS ECO Laboratory began in the beauty industry.

In August 2009, 株式会社和漢草コスメ研究所 was founded in Hakata, Fukuoka. Herbal cosmetics research, aesthetic salons, beauty equipment — exploring beauty was our starting point.

In December 2011, the company was renamed to 株式会社ザボスECO研究所, expanding its business scope. Beyond cosmetics and beauty, into software development and internet services — we began seeking ways to "add value to our customers' styles" through the power of technology.

Over 15 years of hands-on experience in the beauty industry is our greatest asset. Software built by people who know what salons need, what frustrations exist on the ground, and what matters at the point of customer contact — that software is different.

VosCMS's direct origin was RezlyX.

Drawing from hands-on experience in the beauty industry, we developed a universal reservation solution that could be used across all industries — not just one specific sector. Salons, restaurants, hotels, fitness centers — the industries differ, but the essence is the same: "accept reservations, manage customers, grow revenue."

But as development progressed, one question kept coming back.

"Is a reservation system alone enough? What about a website? A bulletin board? Multilingual support? Payments?"

Reservations became a plugin, pages became widgets, designs became skins — the core and extensions were completely separated. As a result, the universal reservation solution RezlyX became VosCMS's very first plugin.
